The Group Municipal Party Committee came to Gong-chang and supervised the investigation and research "Go to grassroots Listen to sound Do practical things" on 29th, May. The Group Committee and other key enterprises leaders as well as village league branch secretary accompanied them. There were more than 20 young people of Gong-chang Youth League branch to attend this discussion.
The activity "Go to grassroots Listen to wish Do practical things" was a key one by the Group Municipal Party Committee of Wuxi City this year. All the Communist Youth League of the city recommended and introduced their wishes. As a base of this activity, Gong-chang Youth League branch actively accepted supervision and investigation of superior department and reported work.
The secretary Mr. Zhou of the Group Municipal Party Committee explained the significance of this topic activity. He said, "It's a concrete action for the Group Municipal Party Committee to put 'grassroots construction promotion year' and 'style construction promotion year' into practice and to improve Cadres' style and closely contact the young It's a necessary demand to reflect grassroots group construction and to provide service for the young. Our Youth league organizations and cadres must go to grassroots, deeply and effectively invite the young, listen to and collect their wishes, solve their problems to promote Influenceand cohesion of the Communist Youth League for new achievements." He emphasized more times that all the attendants were friends who could spreak out freely and shared their true opinions.Then, the present young people made speeches one by one which refered to life, work, learning and so on, some of which are key: First, big work pressure, hard to make friends; second, more knowledge learning from universities but less play in practice. They hoped to work in turn; third, the married young who came out to work had hard education for their children; fourth, monotonous life. They hoped to have a near entertainment center; fifth, no proper way to promote professional skill; sixth, wish to send books and things to the poor area, but no organization to receive them; seventh, wish to work and do poineering work, but no counselling training institutions and lack of capitals and so on.
In view of these tiny wishes and small dreams, the secretary Mr. Zhou, the town Group Committee secretary Mr. Ling and the company Party Committee Mr. Zhang made analysis for them, discussed the solutions. The secretary Mr. Zhou said, "The past group work was empty in people's memory. However, we do pracitcal things for the young by means of meeting their wishes. So, life is rich and comfortable. Then, we can put our 100% heart into work. Here is the great significance of Youth League branch." The secretary Mr. Zhang said in the end that Gong-chang Youth League branch openly held a competition to employ Youth League branch members. Two years later, a good beginning with good effect appears. On basis of this, we will hold a new vote for new Youth League branch members according to the rules. We also hope all the present young will actively sign up and play their talents. We hope they will join in the Gong-chang Youth League branch to give full play to a healthy and continuous work. Meanwhile, we also welcome the town and city leaders often come to Gong-chang to supervise work in purpose of promoting service work of Gong-chang Youth League branch."
