The first "GC Cup" Guandan Contest which combined the cadres and common workers was held in the dinning hall on 13th -14th August. 32 players from each workshop and department joined in this activitiy by means of free combination. It's a collective activity, planned by the General Party Branch and coordinated by the Youth League Branch, to enrich the staffs' amateur cultural life, arouse their work enthusiasm and enhance their cohesion and cooperation sense for harmonious culture atmosphere.

The contest began in 30 minutes after work. Team matches were in the first day and single elimination ones next day till the first, second and third places appeared. During two days, the players concentrated on the match, so did the spectator workers. The atmosphere was nervous and exciting. Finally, the prizes were enjoyed by 8 players.

As a consultant, the general manager Mr. Shao also enjoyed himself in the match. After the awards, he gave a conclusion, that was, "Although this activity isn't on behalf of the highest level of Guandan Contest, its arrangement and organization are good. I'm delighted that this contest actively arouse all of you. I hope all of you have every confidence in contributing yourselves to your work and achieve better results in the near future. I believe, as long as all of you cooperate with each other,there is nothing difficult to us."
