The company first strives to explore the high-end rolls and their refabrication with input of RMB200,000,000 and starts new project of manufacturing rolls and repairing work layers. The company separately cooperates with Beijing Science & Technology University, German Bremen Universtiy, Qinghua University etc. to develop the application project of high alloy spray-up and laser process technology consist of high integration, high automation and green manufacturing. The material of work layer will be denser and finer. The performance will be as several times as the one of traditional cast rolls. This kind of rolls can be used to produce superior quality of car steel, high strength of ship steel, ocean engineering steel and so on. Meanwhile, it’s more important for the technology to realize recycling and reproducing waste rolls. It will greatly reduce the costs of steel and roll manufacturing enterprises, save energy, reduce consumption and increase benefit. The technology is a challenge to traditional cast rolls and a great change to roll industry. It’s reported that in comparison to traditional cast ways, it will save 24,000,000KWH and 20,000 tons of metal material in one year calculated by the annual output of 20,000 tons of high-end rolls.
